Unofficial Disney World

Disney produce a large number of shows and parades in all four of the parks throughout the day. All of the shows are very good and i recommend you see as many as you feel you have time for. I will give you a breakdown of what each park has to offer in terms of shows and parades.

***Hatchman's Hint - make sure you get a times guide and park map when you enter the park. These will contain times of shows and the locations. I advise you decide which shows you want to see and plan the time you are going to see them. Remember to arrive atleast 30 minutes prior to the show starting to ensure you get a spot!***

Disney's Share a Dream Come True Parade - Watch you favourite Disney character's travel round aboard the glorious Disney floats. The parade starts in Frontierland next to Splash Mountain. Its passes through Frontierland passing The Country Bear Jamboree attraction heading into Liberty Square. Liberty Square offers a designated viewing spot for guest's in a wheelchair, this can be found opposite the Hall of President's attraction. The parade then crosses over the castle moat towards the front of Cinderella's castle, going left around the roundabout it passes another spot for guest's in a wheelchair - to the right of the Walt & Mickey statue. It then makes it's way down the centre of Mainstreet USA going left around the roundabout and into the shed for the end of the parade. SpectroMagic - This is an Evening parade full of character's, lights and plenty of music. The route it follows is exactly the same as the above Dreams Come True Parade with the exception of this parades goes in the opposite direction starting at the shed in Main Street USA and finishing in Frontierland. I advise you attempt to get your place for this parade atleast 30 minutes prior to the start.

Did You Know? - If you laid out all of the fibre optic light strips used in this parade it would stretch and incredible 100 miles!

Wishes - A Magical Gathering - This is the largest firework show ever produced by Disney. It's a mixture of fireworks, music, lighting effects and stories. It usually takes place every evening with the exception of nights when the Pirate and Princess party is on. Due to the spectacular nature of the fireworks you can get a good viewpoint from pretty much anywhere in the park although my favourite place would be from the Train station ledge looking out up Main Street USA at Cinderella castle. This show is a must see atleast once on your visit. If you have seen the Wishes show then please leave your comments below.

Illuminations: Reflections of Earth - This is a fireworks and illuminations show that is performed every night over the world showcase lagoon at Epcot. There are many areas designated as viewing spots for guest's in wheelchairs around the lagoon. If you want to view the show from the front then i recommend you head over to the lagoon roughly 45 minutes prior to the show starting.

Block Party Bash - This is a new parade that is taken from Disneyland California. Its due to begin in Hollywood Studios on March 14 2008. I have never seen the show so can't comment on it from a personal point of view but a full description can be found here Block Party Bash If you have any information on this parade please share it below.

High School Musical 2 - This is a college cheerleader show inspired by the Disney original movie High School Musical 2. The show takes place in front of the Sorcerer's hat daily.

Fantasmic! - This is an amazing night-time spectacular show that contains fireworks, music, lighting effects, water and your favourite Disney character's. It's performed in the Hollywood Amphitheater which is located next to the Tower of Terror attraction. The theatre holds 10,ooo people and is nearly always full! The show features a great storyline with some amazing effects. Please be aware that this show is subject to weather conditions so i recommend you take this into consideration when planning your day. The show occurs at the end of the day and is usually only performed once or twice.

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade - Themed parade that includes a very authentic selection of vehicles with popular Disney character's. The parade starts at the Kilimanjaro safari attraction and heads towards Discovery Island passing the Tree of Life. Continues by passing by the It Tough to be a Bug attraction onto Asia. It then turns left and heads towards Flights of Wonder before heading back to Africa and the Kilimanjaro safari's. There are four designated viewing areas situated on the parade route. You can find these at; the Dawa Bar in Africa, Next to Pizzafari on Discovery Island, On the corner next to Safari Barbecue and finally the fourth is situated opposite the Flights of Wonder attraction.
